Personal Location Information Processing Policy

BC Innovation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") complies with the personal location information protection regulations under the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea that a location-based service provider must observe, such as the Personal Information Protection Act and the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Location Information Act"). In accordance with Article 21-2 of the Location Information Act and Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company establishes this Personal Location Information Processing Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") and strives to protect users’ rights and interests. This Policy contains the following:

1. Definitions

① The definitions of terms used in this Policy are as follows.

1. "Location information" refers to information about the place where a movable object or individual is or was present at a specific time, which is measured using telecommunications facilities and telecommunications line facilities under Article 2(2) and (3) of the Telecommunications Business Act.
2. "Personal location information" refers to location information of a specific individual (including cases where the location of a specific individual can be identified by easily combining with other information even if the location information alone cannot identify the individual).
3. "Personal location information subject" refers to a person identified by personal location information.
4. "Confirmation data of location information collection" refers to data on the requester of location information collection, collection date and time, and collection method (excluding the location information itself).
5. "Confirmation data of use and provision of location information" refers to data on the person receiving the information, the acquisition route, use/provision date and time, and method (excluding the location information itself).
6. "Location information business" means the business of collecting location information and providing it to entities that operate location-based services.
7. "Location-based service business" means the business of providing services using location information.
8. "Location information system" refers to the combination of computer hardware, software, databases, and human resources organically linked to collect, store, analyze, use, and provide location information through the information and communications network under Article 2(1)(1) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., for location information businesses and location-based service businesses.

② Terms not defined in this Article shall follow relevant laws and general commercial practices.

2. Purpose of Processing and Retention Period of Personal Location Information

① The Company collects, uses, and provides users’ personal location information within the scope of the purposes set out in the Company’s Terms of Use, including but not limited to the following:

1. Improving the quality of the content and services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by applications owned by the Company, as well as the Service itself.
2. Providing information on new services of the Company.
3. Confirming the identity of the complainant, checking complaints, contacting for fact-finding, notifying, and providing the results of complaint handling.
4. Other uses within the scope agreed to by the user.

② When collecting personal location information pursuant to this Article, the Company collects only the minimum information necessary to achieve the purpose.
③ The Company retains the personal location information collected under this Policy for up to one year.
④ The personal location information collected shall not be used for any purpose other than those specified in this Policy. If the purpose of use changes, the Company will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent under Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act and Article 18 of the Location Information Act.

3. Basis and Retention Period of Use/Provision Confirmation Data

① In accordance with Article 16(2) of the Location Information Act, the Company automatically records and preserves confirmation data of the use and provision of personal location information.
② The Company may retain such confirmation data for up to one year if necessary to respond to user requests, legitimate legal processes, or as required under other laws.

4. Procedures and Methods of Disposal of Personal Location Information

① When the retention period has expired or the purpose of processing is achieved (such as withdrawal of membership), the Company promptly destroys the personal location information collected under this Policy in a way that prevents restoration or reproduction.
② In the case of electronic files, they are securely deleted to prevent recovery or reproduction, and in the case of records, printouts, or documents, they are shredded or incinerated.
③ If retention is required by law after the expiration of the retention period or after the purpose of processing has been achieved, the Company will move the personal location information to a separate database (DB) or store it in a different location.

5. Provision of Personal Location Information to Third Parties

① The Company does not provide personal location information to external parties without the prior consent of the subject of personal location information. However, it may be provided in the following cases within the minimum necessary scope:
1. Where the subject of personal location information has given direct consent.
2. Where submission is required by relevant laws.
3. Where it is difficult to obtain prior consent due to the subject being unable to express intent or being unreachable, and it is deemed necessary to protect the urgent life, body, or property interests of the subject or a third party.
4. Where necessary for statistical or academic research purposes, in a form that does not identify a specific individual.
5. Where necessary for the investigation of a crime, prosecution, or maintenance of charges.
6. Where necessary for the performance of judicial proceedings.
7. Where necessary for the execution of punishment, protective measures, or custody.

② The subject of personal location information must not infringe upon their own or others’ personal location information or privacy by violating relevant laws.
